I don't think my test was scored correctly; can I have it hand-scored?
If you believe that a scoring error has been made, we will hand-score your multiple-choice tests for a fee of $35.00 (refundable if an ACT error is discovered). You may request to be present for a hand-scoring of your multiple-choice tests at one of our regional offices, but you must pay an additional fee.
If you believe your Writing Test has been mis-scored, you may request that your essay be rescored for a fee of $35.00. If you want both your multiple-choice tests and essay rescored, the fee is $70.00.
If an error is our responsibility and requires you to retest, it will be at no fee. If the error is our responsibility and does not involve retesting, then we will send corrected score reports, without charge, to you and your high school (if you authorized reporting) and to each college or agency that received an incorrect report (if you provided valid codes).
To request this service, send your request to the address below as soon as possible—no later than three months after your test date.
